Dab's Angel January 2007
Senora Mitchell
Senora Mitchell is a wonderful woman who has dedicated her adult life in the HIV/AIDS medical research field. She is also one of the most loving people that you are likely to have the pleasure of meeting.
Senora greets every patient where she works by name with a smile, a kind word, a shoulder to cry on when they need it and a big hug when you come and leave. For so many people that travel to participate in HIV and AIDS clinical trial studies, Senora is the shining point of their trip.
HERE SHE IS PICTURED WITH HER VERY OWN DAB THE AIDS BEAR THAT WAS A GIFT FROM ONE OF THE PATIENTS IN CLINICAL RESEARCH.
We run into people online, through this website, and when we're speaking, fund raising or traveling throughout the country who know Senora. She's often brought up in conversations of people in the HIV and AIDS community like her name is a code word...
Do you know Senora? If the person says yes... chances are they are positive and have participated in clinical trial studies at her employer.
We have joked with her about her name becoming a safe word for the HIV community to introduced themselves to each other. "DO YOU KNOW SENORA... I KNOW SENORA"
She also just celebrated a milestone Birthday... So all of us her at Dab the AIDS Bear Project would like to wish her a very belated Happy Birthday! AND NO SENORA... WE WON'T GIVE AWAY YOUR AGE OR YOUR BEAUTY SECRETS FOR REMAINING FOREVER YOUNG.
The world needs many more people just like Senora... It would be a much happier world and we feel very fortunate her at the project to have the honor and fortune or calling her Friend..
Keep up the great work Senora and know that you are love and are making a huge difference in the lives and quality of life for many people with HIV/AIDS.
Our lives would not be as bright without you in it. You have touched the lives, hearts and souls of so many people just by being you.
For this and many more reasons... Senora has been chosen as our first Dab the AIDS Bear Angel.
