Larry Bryant - April
It is with great honor, we announce Larry Bryant as our Dab the AIDS Bear's Angel for April 2011.

Larry is a native Washingtonian (DC) and grew up an Air Force brat, oldest of six. After living in places like Kansas City, San Antonio, and Oahu, he attended high school back in the DC area at T.C. Williams in Alexandria, Virginia ('Remember The Titans!'.

After being diagnosed HIV positive while a student at Norfolk State University, he essentially left himself for dead. In the time between 1986-1991, he spiraled deep into a self destructive lifestyle of drugs, alcohol, homelessness with no regard (or plan) for life.

A series of 'should-have-been-dead' experiences eventually began to bring him back to consciousness and actively participating in his own life and survival. Larry was also buoyed by family and individuals throughout that instilled in him the strength and persistence to fight for those rights to live and love as a complete individual.

Currently, Larry is the Director for National Organizing at Housing Works and a member of the Campaign To End AIDS (C2EA). He am also co-chair of D.C. Fights Back, a local ally of C2EA and one of our Dab the AIDS Bear's Ambassadors of Hope.

For these and many more reasons, we are honored to announce Larry Bryant as our Dab the AIDS Bear's Angel for April 2011.
