Marcus Washington
November 2011
Our Dab's Angel for November 2011 is Marcus Washington. He is a native of Louisiana and has been active in HIV and AIDS in several communities across the country.
After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Mr. Washington moved his family back to his hometown to help people trying to survive in the aftermath. There were many problems for HIV+ people accessing health care and getting their HIV medications. Marcus worked endlessly to ensure people did not miss their medications.
Marcus has also known all too often the pain of losing a loved one. He lost his significant other several years ago after a long battle with HIV and AIDS. Marcus says he does all he does to ensure others will not lose their battle with HIV and AIDS.
For these and many more reasons, we are proud to announce Marcus Washington as Dab's Angel for November 2011.
